  I saw this and thought well I will try a beauty service for the first time off Groupon. As soon as I bought it I followed the instructions to make an appointment. First thing I noticed was they DO NOT answer the phone... at all. If you want an appointment you have to go online and do it yourself. When you get to the online calendar you will see no appointments available because they are booked for months and if they have openings it's only for people who don't have day jobs. After I booked my appointment for 2.5 months after I bought it I was sent a cancelation email from Gilda 2 days before my appointment. Obviously, annoyed I called to ask if anyone else would be available to do my hair and my call was not answered or returned (neither was my follow up email). So I just rescheduled and made sure I did it with the other stylist. She then called me the next day to tell me over voicemail that she was not going to be working at Gilda's anymore and would not be able to take my appt. I then reschudeled for the third time and of course... a few weeks later it was cancelled by Gilda with no explanation... just an email. So a month goes by after that and I decide if I don't use this Groupon I will lose it and I schedule again. Gilda calls me the day of the appt while I'm at work and leaves me a voicemail at 2:29pm requesting I come in earlier and that 3pm would be a better time for her...my appt was at 5pm... I was already having to take off work an hour early to make this appt at 5pm, but you know obviously Gilda's schedule is much more important than her customers. I called her back and sent an email explaining I might be able to get there 15 minutes early depending on my meeting. I got there at 4:45 to wait till 5:11 for her to even bring me back, because she was busy. She brings me back and tells me she will be doing cap highlights.... I have NEVER had cap highlights done at a professional saloon! If I wanted highlights I would have bought the kit for $15 and done it myself at home instead of spending $70 (for what I thought I was getting a deal with) to have them professionally done. Obviously annoyed I questioned her about this and got no where.... she argued with me constantly and talked the entire time! Why I let it go on further I don't know... probably bc I was being harassed via phone why I left work a little early bc the boss needed me... Oh sry boss I have an impossible appt to even get for a service I have paid for in advanced for!
  
  At that point I just wanted to get my hair done in peace with no more no talking/arguing and she just went on and on. She also put my head under a heat drying bowl with chemicals on it (something I know you shouldn't do, but she said it's ok with the "stuff" she uses) I think she did it to speed up the process so she could go where ever she planned on going earlier. After she sweat me out with the 105 degree heat bowl the other girl washed my hair. I don't know her name, but she saved the situation, because she washed my hair very well and massaged the stress I was feeling away. Plus she wasn't yapping my ear off like Gilda did. After that Gilda came back into the picture and trimmed and dried my hair.
  
  In the end my hair turned out fine and my roots got highlighted... the main thing that needed to be accomplished. I have thick strong hair that takes a beating very well, also, I'm not very picky and generally a nice person for the most part so I said, it was fine and just wanted to get the heck out of there. I still tipped (only $10 which I requested she share with the other girl). This is half of what I usually tip after getting highlights, trim and blow-dry. I usually expect one person to see the job all the way through to the very end, but I suppose Gilda is too "amazing" to actually wash hair. Anyways, you have heard my experience the choice it yours. I personally will not be coming back, because all I want when I have to get my roots done is to relax and have a professional detailed job done on my hair.
